Food Pantry & Puzzle & Game Exchange

By Elizabeth McKinstry

At the Beaver Meadow Schoolhouse two new projects have been initiated within the Schoolhouse entryway.

For those within our community who have a passion for puzzles and games, we have established a Schoolhouse Puzzle & Game Exchange. Similar to the Little Library, this will be a lending/exchange program for all to enjoy. We encourage you to contribute to the collection keeping in mind that, as with our books, games must be clean, complete and in good condition.

Another new initiative is the Beaver Meadow Schoolhouse’s “Care & Share”, a non-perishable food pantry for any community member dealing with food insecurity. “ Need something -take it -have something -leave it" donations are welcomed and encouraged. Please feel free to drop off any non-perishable item in the entryway on the designated shelf. Our Care & Share pantry is to be used as a stopgap for short-term food needs and will only contain non-perishables. For more comprehensive food supplies, this website  https://uvstrong.org/resources/food-access/  will assist you in locating food pantries in and around the Upper Valley.

If you would like to make a monetary donation for purchases of non-perishable food please send checks with food pantry designation to:
